Dear FuckYeahVeganPizza
So chuffed to be chosen the UK winner of your Pizza Day competition, doubly so when this vast array of ‘meats’ and ‘cheese’ arrived from the Redwood Co.
Got so much stuff I don’t know where to start!
Actually, there’s only one place to go isn’t there… Pizza!!! :o) Keep an eye out for future creations, of which there will be many, and thanks again FuckYeah and the Redwood Co for the generous prize. I’m gonna be eatin’ like a king for weeks, lol.

Pizza party at Keith’s place!!! - ed.]
The Vegan Pizza Day giveaway results are in, and…
…you’re all winners! But you already knew that, of course. wink, wink
Anyway, before I announce the winners (the BIG TIME winners!), a quick note on how we got here. As the entries came in, I entered the info into a spreadsheet, with fields for the entry number, the pizza-nista’s tumblr name or email address, a link to the post, and any other notes I might have (basically just pertaining to location and whether I knew it for sure or was guessing; blah blah blah). After the contest was closed to submissions, I used a random number generator to choose four winners - three from the US/Canada and one for the UK.
(I won’t bore y’all with the screenshots, but if you want to see them for your own bad selves, I’ve uploaded them to my flick account; look in the Early Vegan Pizza Day set!)
Our UK winner is contestant numero uno, Keith, who made this Superbly Simple Pizza:
I’ve already gotten in touch with Keith; when we last exchanged emails, he reported: “Guess what, I’m cooking pizza right now!” Rock on, Keith. ROCK ON!
As for the US/Canada giveaway, the first name/number to come out of the hat, so to speak, was #33, Natalia from Quebec! More specifically, it’s Natalia’s Tofu and Green Gluten Free Pizza that won the day!
Our next winner is #70, Vegan Food Addict! VFA submitted three mouth-watering entries, but it was zher’s Pestorrific Spinach Artichoke Pizza that triumphed!

Last but not least is #67, learning vegan, with these super fun and delicious breakfast/lunch/brunch/dinner/snack time/any time toasted English muffin ‘zas!
And don’t think that I’ve forgotten about our mini-giveaway! No way!
To pick a winner, I copied the notes on the post, pasted them into a spreadsheet, stripped out the irrelevant info (e.g., “likes,” my own activity on the post, etc.), and ended up with 17 entries. The random number generator chose #8, luckicharms!
Congratulations to all our lucky winners! I hope that you and your pizza stuffs are very happy together! Check your ask boxes (or inboxes, if I have your email address), you should have a message from me! (I’m ibtk on tumblr.) You have 72 hours to reply, and the clock starts ticking…NOW!
Also, yay to us on our first major giveaway! You guys sent in over 100 entries (100 from the US and Canada and 8 from the UK, to be exact!) and we also picked up just over 100 new followers, to boot! SUCCEED!
To our new readers, I hope you like what you see and decide to stick around awhile. I have some fun stuff planned in the coming months, and plotting and scheming is already underway for the REAL Vegan Pizza Day, which has been moved to June 28, 2012.

& now if you’ll excuse me, I need a shower.
Pineapple Black Bean Pizza
I like turning other dishes into pizza so I decided to try this, which I usually eat with rice. My homemade crust is topped with pineapple & black beans sprinkled with cinnamon and the whole thing is covered in cheddar Daiya.
This is my 3rd entry for the Vegan Pizza Day giveaway.
Made in the USA by me :) I also write The Vegan Kitchen blog
[OMG, I swear those pineapples look like tots! Or maybe I just have tots on the brain! Whatever, looks delish! Thanks for sharing, twolightsabovethesea! - ed.]
Vegan Chicago Style Deep Dish.

This is the traditional cheese on the bottom, thick cornmeal dusted crust, bubbling hot garlicy tomato sauce, slightly charred Parmesan cheese topped, spinach pizza from which all deep dish pizzas descend from. Made with of Kaas Soy Mozzarella and Galaxy Vegan Parmesan this pizza has evolved. It is as close as one can get to the Traditional Chicago Style Pizza without being in the Windy City, of course finding a vegan version in “The Hog Butcher to The World” is close to impossible. This one was made on Vashon Island, WA and was made to cheer up my sweetheart who was having a bad day.
[That is one giant pizza, James! I don’t suppose you need some help eating it, hmmm? - ed.]
Thick crust, tonssssss of tomato sauce, two whole packages of Daiya (mozz & cheddar!), sprinkled with Emerils Essence & Italian herbs, topped with Solburger T-tbonez…… a real gooey vegan pig-out pizza!!!!!!! We dipped our slices in spicy garlic salsa…. we almost died.
Made my Laura (gorgeousssleep.tumblr.com) & Stefanie (tinysillythings.tumblr.com), vegan BFFS! Made in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with lots of vegan love and kisses!

My wife was confused by my proposed rosé sauce for our final pizza, but in the end she says it was her favorite! I’m calling it a vegan primavera pizza.

We made the rosé sauce by mixing together plain tofutti better than cream cheese with our roasted red pepper tomato sauce and some extra garlic. It was so good we kept the extra and to dip our crusts in. Yum! We topped it with oven-roasted red peppers, sautéed broccoli and vegan parm.

Canadian pizza deliciousness.

[…for the recipe, that is! - ed.]

Pizza For Breakfast
Homemade crust topped with apples (with just a bit of brown sugar), Field Roast vegan sausage, and Daiya vegan cheddar. I could eat this every day!
Made in the USA by me :) I also write The Vegan Kitchen blog
This is my second Vegan Pizza Day contest submission
[Apples and cheddar? Intriguing! Bet this works well with the Smoked Apple Sage Field Roast Sausages. (Which is probably what you used, lol! Captain Obvious, your presence is required on deck.) Via twolightsabovethesea! - ed.]
Vegan Burrito Pizza!
Besides pizza, burritos are one of my favorite foods. More specifically, burrito bowls (homemade or from a certain Mexican grill). Why not combine the two?!?
Homemade crust with the addition of cornmeal, cilantro, and lime, topped with onion, bell pepper, cumin+lime black beans, and two types of Daiya (cheddar and Italian style). It smells ridiculously good while baking!
Made in the USA by me :) I also write The Vegan Kitchen blog
This is my 4th and final Vegan Pizza Day giveaway entry.

Pizza number 2 tasted surprisingly like pizza hut. yum!

dinner’s ready in Montreal, CA!
[Yes please and thank you. - ed.]

Thai Curry Pizza - The sauce is my homemade curry w/ coconut milk (tastes amazing!), topped with daiya, bell peppers & sriracha.
(US entry!)
[IT LOOKS AMAZING! Thanks again for sharing, Cherry! - ed.]
Bonjour from Canada! The wife and I made three delicious vegan pizzas this weekend. All three started with our delicious homemade vegan crust and were baked on a pizza stone (thanks mom!).
Here’s the first scrumptious pizza:

For this one, we caramelized some onions in a pan with olive oil, s&p and a bit of sweetener. Then we spread it on the crust and topped it with finely chopped sundried tomatoes, slices artichoke hearts and toasted pine nuts. Fancy!
Even our kitty wanted a slice:

[OUR 100TH SUBMISSION! WE DID IT! WE BROKE 100!

My happy dance, you’re looking at it.*
& for bonus awesomeness, there’s even a pizza cat! - ed.]
