Picture of the heart-shaped pizza Amigo and I made last night.
Crust was from Whole Foods.
Daiya cheese.
Peppers.
Onions.
Mushrooms.
Tomatoes.
Squash.
Amigo put some red pepper seasoning and crushed garlic on the crust.And then we watched Cry-Baby (my choice) while we drank some wine before passing out curled up on the couch together.
The pizza was amazing.
The wine was great.
And the night was perfect.Sure as HELL beats the shit out of every other Valentine’s Day.
vegan baked four-cheese hearts! I have been craving the vegan mozzarella sticks since I ate them last in july and finally decided to try and make my own for some friends last night. everyone agreed: these were REALLY GOOD. (also REALLY delicious, allofmydaysoff’s homemade tomato sauce that we dipped these in)
I ended up mixing together all the different types of cheese I had in my apartment (daiya pepper jack, daiya cheddar, trader joe’s vegan mozzarella, and trader joe’s non-dairy cream cheese), adding a bit of flour, almond milk, and sriracha, then forming the mixture into heart shapes and freezing them until solid. once frozen, each heart got dipped in a flour and almond milk mixture and then into bread crumbs. these baked for almost 25 minutes at 350 and they flattened out some but got nice and crispy. leftovers can be refrigerated and then heated up in a skillet with a little oil the next day.
I may have forgotten to post this in time for V-day, but it’s never too late to enjoy heart-shaped chunks of vegan cheese!
