Homemade vegan pizza.
Base:
- Yeast (and lukewarm water)
- Wholemeal flour
- Nutritional yeast
- Asylum husks
Topping:
- Sweet potato
- Potato
- Carrot
- Pumpkin
- Chia seeds
- Sunflower seeds
- Flax seeds
- Fresh oregano
- Baby spinach leaves
- Olives
- Tomato, onion and herb sauce

Detroit-Style Deep Dish Pizza
Features of Detroit-style pizza:
1) square
2) thick, chewy crust
3) sauce goes on top
We use a Bob’s Red Mill GF crust mix and filled it with caramelized onions, sliced roma tomatoes, basil, FYH mozzarella and a sauce with lots of spices and some homemade pumpkin puree (we have a lot leftover, so why not?). Fuzzy pictures courtesy of my unsteady hands and our desire to start stuffing our faces.

Gourmet veg without cheese! Chargrilled pumpkin, potato and red capsicum with, mushroom, spinach and spanish onion. Delicious!

My first attempt at a vegan pizza = pure deliciousness!! Pizza sauce, chilli, pumpkin, sundried tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, red onion and savoury yeast flakes, topped with avocado after it was baked. mmmmmmm, this will definitely make a regular appearance from now on!
