fuck yeah vegan pizza

Every day is vegan pizza day, o k
A fancy frozen (Tofurky) pizza with Field Roast vegan chorizo sausage, portobello mushrooms, yellow onion, cilantro, cheddar Daiya, and sriracha!
That saucy shit is half an avocado, Organicville non-dairy Ranch, lime, cilantro, lemon pepper, salt, paprika, and cherry tomatoes (think ranch x guacamole)!

When I bought these yesterday I thought I was getting something new… So it goes without saying that when I ate this for dinner last night I was left thinking “this doesn’t taste too much different…”
Tofutti got nice new packaging for their delicious dairy free vegan pizzas.  I added some pepper jack daiya and yves pepperonis but believe me when I say they’re really good plain as well :)

petermcarlsonjr asked: Have you tried any of the frozen Daiya or Tofurkey pizzas? Are they worth it or should I just make my own?

Frozen vegan pizzas are pricey enough that I save them for special occasions (my birthday, Halloween, the season premier of Supernatural); otherwise, I find that pita pizzas are a nice substitute: really quick to make, and perfect for personal size pizzas. And pita bread freezes nicely too.

Personally, I prefer Tofurky over Daiya: they both have Daiya cheese, but the crusts on Daiya are kind of meh. Sometimes they cook well, sometimes not. (I swear I nearly broke a tooth on Daiya’s fire roasted vegetable pizza. The cheese one crisps up nicely though. Weird, the inconsistencies.) Amy’s brand is also pretty awesome, crust-wise, and they have a Daiya version. American Flatbread’s Vegan Harvest is my all-time favorite. Best crust ever!
