Guys my new job rules! I bake for Peace O’ Pie a vegan pizzeria in Allston, MA and you should all come check it out cause I’m so stoked! Yesterday was my first day and I made rocky road cupcakes (they don’t look like much but they’re stuffed with marshmallows and walnuts) and today I made chocolate cake with caramel drizzle and chocolate chips sprinkled all throughout ^.^
Okay so this isn’t pizza but PEACE O PIE I WANT TO GO THERE SO BAD AND NOW I MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE!

Also I hope you were able to find another awesome vegan food job because ugh what timing.
PIZZA CUPCAKES TURTLE POWER!
People who live in Austin are so lucky, in general, because it has amazing food and the nicest fucking vegans I’ve ever met — that Includes the absolutely lovely dynamo Kristen Davenport of Austin’s Capital City Bakery. According to reliable and lazy sources, Capital City Bakery has some DAMN TASTY sweet treats and uh, it’s enough to almost get me on a place to go out there and eat everything.
Oh well, add it to the list of reasons Austin is the greatest and we should all move there immediately as soon as they get a giant airconditioner to cool the city year round. With global warming, that might be sooner than we think!

My food blogs in a nutshell.

vegan pizza cupcakes
this is a veganized version of a recipe from: http://kirbiecravings.com/2012/04/pizza-cupcakes.html. as kirbiecravings says, they’re not actually true cupcakes, more like a savory muffin with your favorite pizza toppings. BUT it’s totally more fun to say “pizza cupcake,” so the name sticks
VEGAN PIZZA CUPCAKES
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. applesauce
1/3 c. milk + 2 tbsp. almond milk
1 c. pizza toppings (i used green peppers and onions, which are my favorite!)
1 c. vegan shredded “cheese” (i used the italian mix flavor with romano, mozzarella, and other cheese flavors)
mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. add in vegetable oil, applesauce and 1/3 c. almond milk, and stir until smooth. add in the remaining almond milk, and stir. then stir in your pizza toppings and the fake cheese
bake at 400* for about 18 minutes
and there you have it! a yummy vegan snack attack. i highly recommend nuking them for a minute and dipping them in marinara YUM
Then, I made pizza cupcakes.
I made a dozen.
Oh my god.
This was the greatest thing I have ever done.
I love you, vegan pizza day.

Quick, to the fainting couch!

My magnum opus: vegan pizza cupcakes. I will never be more proud of anything, ever.
ALL THE AWARDS!
Mmmm Peace ‘o Pie it’s been far too long
…and by that, I mean a couple weeks. I hate it when we skip pizza night.
Tonight we got BBQ chicken and pepper, broccoli and Canadian bacon.
And carrot (cup)cakes : )
Jelly to the max!
