Burn Berlin Burn: Binge on Canadian Vegan Pizza in Berlin
reblogged from burnberlinburn:
I have always wanted to try Ron Telesky Canadian Pizza (Diffenbacherstraße 62), but somehow never made it there, despite teaching yoga around the corner at Graefe Yoga. Their opening hours were always a bit strange, but it seems they have changed. It now states open daily from 12.30-22.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR.
reblogged from burnberlinburn:
Last night after teaching a sauna-esque yoga class at Agora Collective (due to the New Orleans-style temperatures that has Berlin in its warm, sweaty fist these trembling, last days of a pollen-ridden month of May), Tania and I ventured further into Neukölln, past Richardplatz, that leafy square that suddenly made us feel like we were in Paris and not Berlin, and crossing over the less glamourous Sonnenallee to Sfizy Veg (Treptower Straße 95).
We were starved as we snagged one of the tables outside, and the menu was overwhelming. This vegan Pizza/Italian fast food joint practically offer a novel of pizza titles. There was the vampire pizza with garlic and chili, and the hangover one with fries. I got one with pears and blue cheese (forget the italian name), because I was very curious about what vegan blue cheese would taste like. Having been lead from the darkness to the light, blue cheese like Stilton and Gorgonzola is one of the things I miss the most. The Pizza was definitely cheesy and blazingly hot. I was so starved and greedy that I scorched my tongue! The crust was really good, and the tomato sauce too! The blue cheese tasted a little soap-y, but it satisfied me nevertheless. And of course I overate, to the point of not being able to get dessert. The two cakes in the case looked pretty rich.
Next time I will stick to one of the more traditional pizzas, like Funghi, just tomato sauce, cheese and mushrooms. And I am definitely coming back!
batfeathers asked: hi! sweet blog!
okay- so i was just in berlin, sampling all the lovely vegan food, and this place called "yoyo" had the best vegan pizza i have ever had, i swear the cheese was so quality!!! it rivals anything i have been able to find in san francisco. does anyone know what type of cheese they use on their pizza at yoyo in berlin?????
IDK, has anyone been? Their website (Google translation) says that they offer vegan soya cheese, but doesn’t specify a brand or if it’s made in-house.
Delicious mysteries…
