Pizza Fusion
reblogged from letmesailaway:
Today I was finally able to try Pizza Fusion in Ridgewood, NJ. With only a handful of locations across the United States, this all organic restaurant is hard to come by. Although it is not a vegan or even a vegetarian restaurant, Pizza Fusion has many vegan options. All their crusts and sauces are vegan, even the gluten free crust. They also have not just one vegan cheese, but TWO. Both Daiya and Follow Your Heart brands are available. Other vegan options include Gardein chicken and a brownie that is also gluten free on top of being vegan.
I ordered the Farmer’s Market pizza, but with a couple changes. Before my alterations to the pizza, it is topped with roasted artichoke hearts, red onion, roasted zucchini and roasted portobello with tomato sauce, mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan. I ordered my pizza with a gluten free crust, spinach instead of artichokes and Daiya cheese.
The crust was very crispy, reminiscent of a flat bread, but very delightful. The pizza tasted homemade and there was no sign of any grease. The Daiya cheese was perfectly melted and all the vegetable toppings were delicious. I will definitely be going back to Pizza Fusion for more pizza sometime soon. Its simply wonderful to be able to get a quick dinner to take home that is all organic and not have to worry about if the employees know what is vegan and what isn’t.
